Studio Doa

London based designer and founder of Doa, Katie Robertson-Macleod explores sculptural forms through her artisanally handcrafted jewellery and clothing, which she began creating with Kenyan artisans in 2019. Inspired by the works of painter Wassily Kandinsky and architect Luis Barragan, she is drawn to bold silhouettes and the pleasing simplicity of imperfection, intending to echo the qualities of Kenya's often asperous nature in her designs. Our mission is to produce eco-friendly clothing and jewellery using ethical practices in a way that is beneficial to the environment, empowering to the community, preserving of traditional skills, and offering long-term sustainable incomes for people in urban and rural low-employment communities.
