Ecology Soap is dedicated to bringing you the “cleanest’ soaps, skin care and cleansing solutions on earth. We are committed to plant based, biodynamic personal care, as well as non-toxic cleaning solutions for laundry and home. Our products are made with hydrating organic oils, botanicals, and wholesome ingredients of the highest quality. All soaps and cleaners are sustainably formulated, eco-friendly and packaged with compostable or recyclable materials. We are committed to transparency in listing all of our ingredients. This practice is not an industry standard, but the primary reason this company was founded. In fact, the concept for Ecology Soap came after I read an article on hidden chemicals in dryer sheets—chemicals which include benzyl acetate (linked to pancreatic cancer), benzyl alcohol (an upper respiratory tract irritant), ethanol (linked to central nervous system disorders), limonene (a known carcinogen), and chloroform (a neurotoxin and carcinogen), among others. These chemicals are generally not listed on commercial products. I also found that many products touted as natural contained synthetic fragrances, colorants or other additives. In addition, proper benchmarks for what constituted so-called “green” products were lacking.
