Mason Creek Farm

Rose Konold raises Boston Mountain hogs (currently being trademarked) and Ameraucana laying hens with her husband, Glenn Woelk, at Mason Creek Farm. Situated southeast of Fayetteville, the 60-acre farm is an original homestead at 1,300ft in the Boston Mountains of the Ozarks in northern Arkansas. Fed whole grains and organic minerals, Rose explains that this new breed of hog has been carefully selected to thrive in a varied habitat and produce well-marbled meat. Similarly, the Konolds have carefully selected strong, healthy and productive hens that are also good foragers for home breeding.
