CBR Products is a Vancouver-based company that develops, manufactures and supplies architectural coatings, specialty restoration and preservation products that are easy on the planet and on human health. They measured their baseline inventory using the 2011 calendar year. CBR has already implemented a number of reduction strategies, including ‘shame bins’ for coffee cups and fast food waste, incentive programs to share efficiency savings with employees, and waste diversion programs that cut their landfilled waste by 3/4. They are additionally looking into improving the efficiency of their HVAC system and are considering a solar thermal hot water system to preheat water for manufacturing processes and heating.
