Solum Gruppen is Denmarkês largest supplier of compost, growth media and turf care products. Solum Gruppen creates value by integrating waste processing, biogas production and production of a wide range of soil improvement products. We turn waste streams into value streams. We do so, using cost-effective and pragmatic solutions based on appropriate technology and non specialist, standard equipment and machinery. The solutions we provide are of high quality and environmentally sustainable. They are also economically viable. We design highly flexible solutions that produce reliable flows of valuable resources and revenue. In other words: We do not over-engineer, and we do not over-invest. Solum Gruppenês pioneering approach to integrated waste processing and its outstanding business operations have been rewarded on numerous occasions. In 2009, Solum Gruppen was awarded the Danish Liberal Party Climate and Environment Award, which was presented by the Danish Prime Minister, Lars LËkke Rasmussen. The award was given for Solum Gruppenês ability to successfully combine environmentally friendly waste management with a smarter business model. The company also received the Gazelle Award from Borsen (Denmarkês leading business newspaper) for outstanding business management and growth in 1999, 2000, 2006 and 2007. In 2009, Maj Invest Equity (formerly LD Invest Equity) invested in Solum A/S to make way for further growth. Solum Gruppen was founded in 1986.
