At Davies, environmental considerations play a considerable role in every aspect of our remanufacturing process. We start with workspace furniture that has reached the end of its current lifecycle Ñdismantle and strip it down to its core materials, sand off the paint and remove the fabric skins. Next we repair each component, removing dents, replacing any core parts or materials that are damaged. Finally, we reassemble each product back to its original qualityÑrepaint using no VOC paints, re-laminate desktops using water based glues and other low-emitting products, and recover panels using primarily recycled fabrics. We even replace tubular fluorescent lighting with more environmentally friendly LED low energy task products. The end result is indistinguishable from new furnitureÑbut costs a fraction of the price.
