The Center for Climate Protection seeks solutions commensurate with the magnitude of the problem. As important as it is for individuals to take action by increasing their energy efficiency efforts, we also need solutions that can address the problem at the speed and scale required by science. We create model programs for communities everywhere to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We make it easier for people to address climate change and ensure that future generations can continue to live, work, play, and thrive on this extraordinary planet. Our mission is to inspire, align, and mobilize action in response to the climate crisis. We work with business, government, youth and the broader community to advance practical, science-based solutions for significant greenhouse gas emission reductions. Solar Sonoma County (SSC), a program of the Center for Climate Protection, is Sonoma CountyÕs trusted nonprofit solar resource. Our mission is to increase local renewable energy generation and decrease greenhouse gas emissions. We achieve this mission through our programs: Clean Energy Advocate, Qualified Vendor and Certified Local. Are you considering rooftop solar? Through our Clean Energy Advocate (CEA) program, we vet loCEALogocal companies to ensure that the most reliable, high-quality vendors are recommended to those using our services. These Qualified Vendors provide three free site visits, initial system designs, and bids for your solar project.
