LCL Construction, Ltd.

Service Provider in Carman, Manitoba

In 1990, employing his self-taught skills, Lee Sandulak began a new career as a builder and general contractor. A few years later, LeeÕs Construction Ltd. was incorporated and the firm operated under this banner for many years. Under LeeÕs guidance the company flourished, established a great reputation and soon became the builder of choice in the Carman, Manitoba area. In the earliest days, farm pole sheds, home additions and renovations were the norm. It wasnÕt long before Lee became known for quality workmanship and he was soon building many of the areaÕs finest custom homes. As business evolved, Lee was invited to participate on larger and larger projects. Industrial, commercial and institutional projects became the new norm. Lee was not one to shy away from something new and he never turned away from a project because it involved new or different methods or materials. Over the years, he assembled a tremendous team of skilled tradesmen, who, along with a group of ManitobaÕs finest suppliers, sub-contractors and artisans were able to take each new challenge in stride. Wood frame, steel frame, masonry it didnÕt matter. Lee always believed that if it could be built, he could build it, and build it he did! The company completed numerous propane depots across the Western provinces for Federated Cooperatives as well as several pre-engineered steel building projects in SaskatchewanÕs oil patch in and around Carlyle. In 2012 Boundary Consumers Cooperative awarded LeeÕs Construction a design build contract for a new 16,100 square foot supermarket to be built in Boissevain, Manitoba. This project was completed on time and on budget in early 2013. The rapid diversification of both projects and locations led Lee to consider rebranding the company to reflect the wide ranging, multi-faceted operations of the organization. In the fall of 2012 LCL Construction Ltd. was established for this purpose. In May of 2014 LCL Construction was awarded the contract for a new 32,000 square foot supermarket to be built in Virden, Manitoba for Valleyview Consumers Co-op. Along the way, Lee achieved his certification as a Journeyman Carpenter. He continues to spend most days in the field, on a project site with the crew, confident that his administration team will take care of business back home in Carman.
