When we create our collections it is very much like setting off on a world-wide journey, from start to finish. The actual planning for our upcoming inspirational trip starts at home with our search for destinations. At this stage we must be particularly attentive on all levels. To truly succeed it is important not to be tempted solely by trends, but also take into account new influences like food, music and other cultures. We always begin every new season by attending seminars held by world leading trend gurus. The concepts and ideas formed here are then allowed to grow and flourish during the course of the journey. Some tag lines fall by the wayside and others are added. On these inspirational trips obviously we scrutinize all the "major" fashion houses, but the best impressions and ideas however, originate from the local inhabitants and the general atmosphere. Quite simply, from the people in the street. This is where we find that which is unique, by looking, studying, mixing and contributing. Back home at the drawing board again, bursting with ideas and inspiration, style after style and group after group begin to take form to ultimately become a collection. Our goal is always to have a theme that runs through the entire collection, which often is something of a challenge since we are trying to satisfy a wide target group. Here ends the designer's journey with the collection and the administrative and logistics staff take over, while we set off on a new adventure, heading for new destinations for the next collection.
