Evolva is a 10-year old venture, committed to doing what we can to help people around the world improve their health, wellness and nutrition in sustainable way (and yes make some money whilst doing so). We employ some 150 people in Europe, North America and Asia, offering all of them equity participation in our company. We are not going to get everything right, but we believe that by creatively combining new things, evolving and adapting, in both our science and in our culture, we aim to play a modest role in helping solve some of the big issues of today. Mission: Evolva discovers and provides innovative, high value, sustainable ingredients - in particular for health, wellness and nutrition. Nature contains a wealth of ingredients that can benefit humanity. But many, indeed most, of these ingredients cannot be viably and sustainably sourced from nature. Most plants and animals are rare, few are suited to large scale agriculture, and none have evolved solely to meet the needs of people. Evolva is a business to business company, providing ingredients (and technologies for making ingredients) to other companies, in particular in the food and beverage, consumer health and pharmaceutical sectors. We aim to be excellent at both the production of ingredients and the discovery and improvement of the benefits they bring. We focus on high value ingredients with relatively low production volumes where our approach can provide significant health, wellness and nutrition benefits. This both fits our strengths as an innovative, entrepreneurial company and is in line with global macro-trends (increased wealth, growing and ageing populations, climate change) that mean sustainable ways to provide healthy and attractive ingredients will remain in strong demand.
