Peace River Regional District

The Regional District processes a variety of residential and commercial garbage and recycling for the seven member municipalities and four electoral areas. Solid waste services includes the operations of three regional landfills, ten transfer stations, three transtor facilities (large compacting garbage bins), and 18 transfer sites. The Regional District supports a Zero Waste as a long-term vision for waste management and in support of this vision, works towards maximizing the results of waste reduction and diversion programs.
