These partnerships symbolize a journey through material exploration and its connection to sustainabilty. Cork It is also striving to fulfill Vancouver's pledge to become the Greenest City by 2020. Cork It, hopes to satisfy goals 1.Green economy, 5. Zero waste and goal 7. Lighter footprint of the Vancouver's Greenest City Action Plan. Lastly, Cork It engages the public in an awareness campaign for natural cork and the cork forests of Europe and Africa that produce it. These ecosystems are massive sinks for the world's CO2, and are extensive cradles of biodiversity, significant to both global speciation and global warming. Cork it focuses on local efforts that can create global change. Working locally for planet profits.
