CET was founded by an experienced team of energy industry executives with extensive background in commercializing distributed generation and power storage technologies. CET is targeting markets where electricity prices are volatile, time of day or real-time electricity tariffs exist, generation capacity and ancillary services are traded regularly and open access to FERC regulated transmission network is allowed. CET also seeks public utilities or private companies who are mandated to add renewable resources to their supply mix, as well as users in remote locations without access to grid-supplied power. CET has established relationships with key component providers, tested relevant key technologies, installed pilot plants, conducted marketing studies and begun the development of a utility-grade “Smart Storage Kit” (SSK) in sizes from 6 to 75kW. CET enables Utilities, Power Marketers, Energy Services Companies (ESCO), the Telecom industry and businesses, federal institutions and municipalities to incorporate energy storage technologies as a component of their energy supply that can be combined with solar, wind and other renewable energy resources. Catalyst Energy Technologies (CET) offers a series of distributed energy storage modules between 6 and 75kW + range which CET calls "Smart Storage Kits" or SSK. When deployed in multiple sites, the SSK is designed to intelligently and cost-effectively enable the application of Distributed Power Generation.
