While it was formed in 1956 in Waterloo Ontario, it received its federal charter as a not-for-profit trade association in 1960. For the last 50 years, CWQA stands as the unified Canadian voice for the Point-of-Use/Point-of-Entry (POU/POE) water quality improvement industry. We are the professionals that make Canadians water better in their homes and work. CWQA member companies sell, service, supply, manufacture and distribute point of use and point of entry water treatment systems for residential industrial, commercial and small system applications. CWQA's strength is in each and every single member, collectively supporting each other nationally; serving as a united front. The common qualities of a CWQA member include: a strong sense of pride and commitment, learning mind open to best and better practices, an openness to collaborate and a strong sense of ethics and professionalism with their work. CWQA Vision: The industry served by the Canadian Water Quality Association and its members encompass water quality improvement for homes, businesses, industry and institutions in these broad areas: drinking water and working water. CWQA is the information resource, and the recognized voice for water quality improvement in Canada.
