Stephen J. Siegel's financial consulting practice, Responsible Planning & Investing, focuses on providing socially and environmentally sound financial plans and investments congruent with his clients' values. We help our clients develop holistic strategies that reflect their financial, personal and social goals. Responsible Planning & Investing provides independent socially responsible investment and financial consulting services for individuals, trusts, businesses and nonprofits. Our clients' core values and life goals are the starting point and guiding light of our professional relationships. At our free, initial consultation, we typically spend much of the time discussing what is important in your life and how those objectives impact your financial decisions. Together, we develop goals and priorities, and a sense of how we can best work together to achieve those goals. Stephen's client services include establishing investment strategies and managing portfolios for specific goals as well as comprehensive financial planning. Plans can address risk assessment and management, investment management, tax considerations, and estate/charitable gift planning. Our particular strengths include helping clients establish investment policies that support their values, explore sophisticated techniques for planned giving, and plan for the effective transfer of their estates. We work with our clients in fee-only relationships, with fees dependent on the extent of services provided and/or the quantity of funds under management. Consulting services can also be arranged for an hourly fee, an agreed upon fixed amount or annual retainer.
