I am personally committed to environmental responsibility. Both my wife and I drive electric cars (Tesla & Volt respectively), and we own a solar powered home that was featured in the 2012 Golden Tour of Solar & Sustainable Homes. The company I created, Golden Real Estate, is committed to promoting and modeling environmental responsibility. It is also solar powered and won the 2010 Sustainability Award for Business from the City of Golden. We have three EV charging stations (two on order) which are free to both staff and the general public. We are the only place in Jefferson County where the public can bring "Styrofoam" (white polystyrene) for recycling, collecting over 6 truckloads per year. I have built my business by writing a weekly column on real estate which I pay to publish every Thursday in the Jefferson County editions of the Denver Post's YourHub section and in five Jefferson County weekly newspapers. I have never done any kind of prospecting, except for farming a 296-home Golden subdivision in my early years.
