Vista is a leading independent operator, with its main assets in Vaca Muerta, the largest shale oil and shale gas play under development outside North America. The company was listed as a SPAC in Mexico in 2017 and subsequently listed on the NYSE in 2019, after having purchased two companies with a full operating platform in Argentina in 2018. Vista’s investment thesis is to develop its high-return shale oil drilling inventory of up to 850 wells spanning 183,100 Vaca Muerta acres, while leveraging its cash-flow generating conventional producing assets and spare capacity in legacy infrastructure to treat and evacuate incremental production.
