As a conservationist, landscaper, homeowner, husband, and soon-to-be father, founder Steven Popp identified Rochesters need for quality landscaping that is also ecologically responsible. A conventional lawn care professional for many years, Steve decided to take his commitment to caring for natural spaces even further by earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Science from Paul Smith's College in 2010. It was after his experience in the field of conservation, and the purchase of his own home in 2012, that Steven realized the dearth of lawn care options available to conscientious, eco-conscious homeowners, and thus Carbon Cutters began.
