BC211 provides information and referral services to the province of BC. Provincial helplines include VictimLink BC, the Youth Against Violence Line, the Problem Gambling Help Line, and the Alcohol and Drug Information and Referral Service. BC211 also operates the 211 helpline for the three regional districts of Squamish-Lillooet, Metro Vancouver, and the Fraser Valley. They measured their second annual greenhouse gas inventory for the 2011 fiscal year. They are working to reduce emissions through a variety of strategies, such as introducing building-wide green initiatives to co-tenants, instigating an educational campaign for staff, adopting energy efficient computer settings, and reducing paper usage by implementing the locked print job feature on all computers.
