Ayesha Mustafa founded Fashion ComPassion in 2011 following a career as a marketing executive for Pepsi Co UK. The decision to start her own business came at a time when she had to decide between the corporate ladder or to follow her true passion. She went for the passion and combined her two biggest interests: fashion and social enterprise. Ayesha never lost sight of her first internship at age 16 with the Grameen Bank. Working with Bangladesh's Nobel Peace Prizewinning microfinancier, Muhammed Yunus provided Ayesha with firsthand experience of how community development and business could transform underprivileged women, their families and society through economic empowerment.
