The total investment is USD 50 million. At the beginning of 2012, C&D Technologies decided to buy Shanghai Electrical App. Corporation 's one-third stake of Shanghai C&D in line with the development requirement and fundamental interest of both parties. By the end of July, C&D Technologies announced formally that the C&D Technologies Shanghai operations are now wholly owned by C&D Technologies. Total area of Shanghai C&D Battery Co., Ltd. (SC&D) is 72,000 m2, with a construction area of 32,000 m2 with 500 employees.SC&D mainly produce LIBERTY, MPS, UPS, TEL front access series battery. SC&D has the most advanced production line of US 21st. Century. The products are exported to Europe, America, Australia and Asia-pacific area.
