Our founder began his career as a pilot of a barge that traveled through major cities such as Louisville, St. Louis and Cincinnati and discovered that the bigger cities he was frequently visiting on his route had many products that were not available in the smaller towns. He then began to take orders for various items all along his route and the practice became very common. In 1918, a decision to discontinue piloting and to focus on selling the main items requested from his customers while piloting was made. This resulted in the opening of his plumbing supply store on the intersection of 4th Street and Cedar Street in Owensboro, KY. While at this location, he grew his company to over 100 employees and was responsible for the sale and installation of a large portion of residential and business plumbing needs. In the early 1940s, the company was relocated to 217 E 2nd Street and overlooked the beautiful Ohio River. It remained at this location for roughly fifty years until the city of Owensboro began building the River Park Center in the early 1990s. The 2nd Street location was thereby demolished and we relocated once again to a newer facility at 620 Salem Drive. In 2003, the company expanded onto the Internet. Upon this expansion, the company diversified the product lines and began to sell products for all areas includin fine home, outdoor, and personal items. In 2005, we expanded once again in the Owensboro, KY area opening our second location. This location resides at 3021 Harbor Road. Currently, our corporate office and warehouse is located at 3021 Harbor Road. Throughout the years, we have seen many changes and have grown into one of the nation's premier independent home improvement wholesaler and fine outdoor, gourmet, and health retailer. We currently provide many authorized brands at every-day low prices. All of our products are brand new and include the full factory warranty unless specifically noted otherwise.
