Dr. Pamela Hutchison has been practicing in Victoria since 2001. She sees clients of all ages with a wide variety of health concerns and has a special interest in neurological and mental health. She is the founder and clinic director of Acacia Integrative Health, a well respected multidisciplinary clinic with a wide variety of health care professionals operating as a team.

An experienced and knowledgeable professional, Dr Pam has developed a reputation as a warm and compassionate doctor who is passionate about patient-centered care.  She uses traditional naturopathic modalities such as dietary and nutritional medicine, herbal medicine, acupuncture, herbal medicine, mind/body medicine and lifestyle counselling as well as advanced therapeutics such as Bio-Identical Hormones, IV nutritional therapy, Chelation therapy, Sublingual immunotherapy, and Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation.  Dr Pam was one of the first naturopathic doctors to gain prescriptive authority in Canada, and she prescribes conventional medication as needed.  She feels strongly about providing care in a manner that preserves a patient's options for care both conventional and alternative.

Dr Pam has a special interest in natural treatments for mental and emotional health concerns such as depression, post-partum depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder, bipolar mood disorders, and addictions. Neurological conditions are another major focus area for her, particularly MS, Parkinson's disease, Brain Injury and Stroke recovery, Myasthenia Gravis, Complex Regional Pain syndrome, early cognitive decline, and cerebral palsy. She frequently treats pediatric mental and neurological health concerns, including ADD/ADHD, tourette syndrome, autism and ASD, early onset bipolar spectrum disorders, depression and anxiety. As well, she often helps people with health concerns such as fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, insomnia, perimenopause, menopause, PMS, allergies (seasonal allergies and food allergies), thyroid conditions, adrenal dysfunction, and stress.

Pamela is a graduate of The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and The University of Guelph where she studied for her Bachelor of Biological Science with a focus on human biology, nutrition, and pharmacology. She is board certified in acupuncture, IV therapy, and chelation therapy. She has completed additional training in Mind Body Medicine from Harvard School of Medicine, high dose amino acid therapy for mental and neurological conditions, IV anc Chelation Therapy through ACAM, advanced prescribing in homeopathy, and Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (NYU Neuromodulation).

Pamela is a member of the BCNA, Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and the American College for the Advancement of Medicine (ACAM). She is licensed to prescribe.

When she is not in the office, she is often seen around town on long distance road bike tours, or running and training for 5K and 10K events.  Pamela is a mother to two young children who inspire her to make the world a better place.
