Perceptive Health - Nathan Jeffery, ND

Nathan Jeffery, ND graduated with a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) located near Chicago, IL. While completing the naturopathic medicine program, he served a one-year clinical internship with a special focus on integrative medicine. 

Before entering the program at NUHS, Dr. Jeffery completed a Bachelor of Sciences with concentrations in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Northern British Columbia. During his undergraduate degree, he began to develop a strong interest in cultural anthropology, health psychology and ethnobotany.

Lifestyle medicine, nutrition, exercise, herbal and physical medicine are major components of Dr. Jeffery's approach to optimal living. Nathan's main clinical interests are in family medicine, gastrointestinal health and integrative pain management.

Growing up in the Cowichan Valley, Nathan gained an appreciation for being outdoors. His interests include hiking, kayaking and spending quality time with his wife and daughter. Exploring nearby parks, lakes and beaches as well as enjoying local foods are among other things Nathan enjoys.
