Dr. Maria Payne Boorman, ND

Maria has been practicing in her hometown of Victoria since 1999 after graduating with distinction from UVIC in 1994 and obtaining her Naturopathic Medicine Degree from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. She has a full family practice with a special interest in helping patients achieve hormonal balance using bioidentical hormone replacement and herbs;  lyme disease; thyroid and adrenal disorders; cancer care; gastrointestinal disorders; liver disease; fertility; pregnancy and childhood issues. She uses nutritional counselling; nutritional supplementation; herbal medicine; IV therapeutics; and pharmaceutical management when necessary. Most of all Maria focuses on building strong and caring relationships with her patients as she assists them with whatever health issues they have encountered. She uses her curiousity, research skills and intuition to bring light to health concerns that have yet to be diagnosed and has a methodical and common sense approach to treatment. Maria is board certified in IV therapeutics and Craniosacral therapy and is a member of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC (CNPBC); BC Naturopathic Physicians (BCNA); and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
