Dr Boxtart has been in practice since 2002 and is a past Chair to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.  In addition he was adjunct Faculty of Medicine at the University Of Northern British Columbia Northern Medical Program for 8 years.

Beyond General Practice, Dr. Boxtart practices primarily in two areas of medicine: 

Physical Medicine, with a focus on Chronic Muscululoskeletal Injury and Sports Injury utilizing private rehabilitative services focusing on chronic injuries that have not responded to conservative treatment. Dr. Boxtart commonly workes with physiotherapists and chiropractors.  Dr. Boxtart has completed advanced training in Prolotherapy (www.getprolo.com) and Sports Medicine since 2004. Out of town patients are regularly accommodated with follow up available via Live Care Video Conference. We requently take referrals from and coordinate care with chiropractors and physiotherapists in northern BC, although patients may also self refer

Medically Supervised Weight Loss: Since 2004, helping over 2000 patients, our interdisciplinary team consisting of naturopathic physicians along with nursing staff offer safe and rapid weight loss options for patients of all types.  We offer comprehensive personalized programming for patients with Diabetes, Cardiac Disease and can manage medication changes.
