Skin Focus - Dawn Gareau, ND

Dr. Gareau completed her four-year doctorate at th Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, following her undergaduate training in Psychology and Nutrition at the University of British Columbia.

She has an extensive background in anti-aging therapies and skin injectables, clinical nutrition and musculoskeletal injuries. Her specialties include anit-aging medicine, sports nutrition and injury prevention, acute/chronic pain management, hormone and digestive imbalances.

Having also worked over 15 years as a certified dental assistant (in Whistler, Prince George and Vancouver), Dr. Gareau recognizes the importance of oral health and it’s affects on the body, which helps in gathering unique information to make health assessments and develop individual treatment plans accordingly.

During her “down time” she helped develop the Vancouver Freestyle Ski Team, coaching provincial level athletes as well as beginner leagues for young mogul skiers in the lower mainland. In the past, Dr. Gareau skied competitively in North America as a member of the Canadian Freestyle Ski Team.

Her competitive experience and passion for the outdoors has allowed her to understand the importance of proper nutrition and optimal health in order to perform “your” best.
