Fraser Valley Conservancy

The Fraser Valley Conservancy operates as a land trust that places lands in trust for the future. We are a registered not for profit society and charitable organization formed by the Abbotsford Community Foundation and the City of Abbotsford in 1998. In 2005, we updated our purpose and expanded our interest to the Fraser Valley.

Why a Conservancy:

(i) A charitable non-profit conservancy or land trust holds land in trust forever .

(ii) Our conservancy provides information on good stewardship practices and promotes the use of land conservation tools such as covenants*, donations*, acquisitions, and bequests to protect land. (* may qualify for tax receipt)

(iii) We have an interested in land with ecological significance, forest land, green space, and land based agriculture along with historic buildings and culturally significant land.
