Student Environmental Action Coalition (SEAC)

SEAC-pronounced seek, as in seeking -is a grassroots coalition of student and youth environmental groups, working together to protect our planet's future. Through this united effort, thousands of youth have translated their concern into action by sharing resources, building coalitions, and challenging the limited mainstream definition of environmental issues.

SEAC currently has 2 national campaigns:

- Power Vote!

- Campus Climate Challenge

SEAC is also working on three Initiatives:

- Mountain Justice

- Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW)

- Militarism and the Environment

Power Vote, a national non-partisan effort spearheaded by the Energy Action Coalition, seeks to elevate the issue of climate change in the 2008 election by mobilizing one million young climate voters.

The Campus Climate Challenge is a project of more than 30 leading youth organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada. The Challenge is to reduce pollution from schools and colleges to zero.
