The Salvation Army Buchanan Lodge

The Salvation Army Buchanan Lodge is a home that provides care and services to adults whose needs meet the criteria of “complex care” as established by the Fraser Health Authority. They provide holistic care, with spiritual care being the “heart and soul” of their mission. Buchanan Lodge measured their second GHG inventory with Climate Smart for the 2015 calendar year. They have recorded an impressive 20% reduction in emissions, attributed to the boiler and HVAC retrofits. They are continuing to reduce emissions through lighting upgrades, investigating solar hot water potential, encouraging car pooling, and much more. Buchanan Lodge is Climate Smart certified for 2016.
