Mattress Recycling™

Mattress Recycling™, is Western Canada’s first, and largest dedicated mattress recycling facility where they are able to separate and recycle over 90% of mattress materials. April 2015 marked the completion of their second GHG inventory with Climate Smart. They have recorded an impressive 74% reduction in emissions per mattress recycled during a record year that saw them recycle 105,000 units. Moving forward, Mattress Recycling™ will be implementing a range of reduction strategies aimed at reducing emissions from their largest sources, which include waste, fleet, and shipping. They have recently replaced their gas smart car with electric, started composting, and are moving forward with a lighting retrofit for their entire facility. Mattress Recycling™ is Climate Smart certified for 2015.
