JustWork Economic Initiative

There's a movement growing around responsible production and consumption. People are looking for ways to use their business or purchasing power to enhance social values. We strongly believe that movements like these generate momentum, feed convictions, and unite people in meaningful action. Since 2006 JustWork has been proud to be part of such a movement. Based on a social enterprise model, we successfully blend financial and social goals by employing a yearly average of 25 employees who are facing major hurdles to participation in the traditional workforce. Not only is ours a good business model, but by doing business, we’re doing good. And this model just works! Our Mandate: At JustWork, we recognize that work is a gift. At its best, work provides us with income, new skills, a sense of 'team' with our co-workers, and the reward that comes with accomplishment. However, some people are consistently excluded from employment because of the challenges they face. That is why at our organization we intentionally provide employment opportunities for people who have struggled to find work so they can now make valuable workplace contributions and, in turn, enjoy the goodness of work.
