JDQ Engineering, Ltd.

JDQ Engineering is a direct descendant of Groundsolar Geotechnics Inc., started in 1999 in Victoria, BC by Jeff Quibell to provide specialized engineering services for ground source heat pump (geoexchange) heating systems. Groundsolar introduced several innovations for improving geoexchange project delivery by adapting design and installation methods to overcome the highly varied and often complex geological settings common in BC. With growing demand for services, Groundsolar merged its operations with larger firms from 2002 through 2008. In 2009, Jeff returned to independent practice under the name JDQ Engineering Limited.
