M.P. Evans Group PLC (incorporated in England & Wales) is listed on AIM. The Group's assets consist of oil-palm plantations (both majority and minority held) in Indonesia, beef-cattle interests in Australia and residential property development in Malaysia. The Group's core strategy is to continue to expand its oil-palm areas in Indonesia, in a sustainable and cost-effective manner. Demand for palm oil is strong in its traditional use as a food, and additionally as a feedstock for the bio-fuel industry. In addition to the expansion in Indonesia, the Group's strategy is to capitalise on the value of its Australian and Malaysian operations, using any sale proceeds to fund the continuing Indonesian development.
