We are a fair trade company that gives back 100% of all profits to the Artisans in Nepal. Our goal is to make the most unique and beautiful designs and show how each purchase directly benefits the person in Nepal who made the item. I started this business in 2004 with a single gpal, to help people in the developing world who work incredibly hard, make beautiful handmade products, and receive so little for their efforts. I worked 13 years in the corporate world, and decided to start a business that could help others help themselves. Today, almost 10 years later, I am still the only employee. We have many amazing partners that are closely aligned with our vision. RML (rmlsite.com) does all of our packing and shipping, customer service, accounting and warehousing for a small fraction of what anyone else would charge us, we have about 30 independent sales reps, and lots of folks in India that help us with Internet design and marketing. I work for home, and have never taken a salary or any compensation. The reward is not financial. The metric that we use to measure our success is how many Artisans can we employ, how much can we pay them, and what benefits we can provide. I along with so many others in our ecosystem, work crazy hard to make a difference, and while we have a long way to go, we've come pretty far since 2004. Our mission is to improve the lives of millions of women throughout the developing world by helping the make beautiful, wearable works of art that women in the USA will love, love, love.
