Established in 1999 as a project management firm, STS has been serving the technical & engineering needs of companies throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic United States. In 2008, the founder, Sal DePrisco, changed the company focus to the integration and failure analysis of Solar, Roofing and Energy Efficiency Systems. In 2011, he rejoined STS full-time to expand operations. The company brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with personnel possessing the highest credentials the industries have to offer including: North American Board of Certified Energy Professionals (NABCEP) Solar PV Installation, Solar Thermal Installation & Solar Technical Sales Professional certifications; Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL) Solar Installation Professional certification; National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) RISE CRSP Certification; CertainTeed Select, GAF Master Elite, and Carlisle Certified Roofing professionals. In 2013, following Hurricane Sandy, Mr. DePrisco was called upon to create an Inspection, Bench-marking & Advisory Services Program for the Port Authority of NY & NJ. The program team discovered hundreds of millions of dollars of latent damages not uncovered by the asset owners, FEMA or the insurance companies, and resulted in the three reevaluating their stand on salt water inundation. The program also launched the Salt Inundation Working Group; an assembly of regional and national stake holders, with a mission of setting national standards for recovery, remediation and resiliency.
