Our facility includes a 30 foot 50.000 lb. digital truck scale, 5000 lb. digital platform scale, forklifts and easy dump bins to unload your material. Our yard has a run-through driveway between Powell St. and Franklin St. that provides for easy access and exit. North Star Recycling's goal is to have you absolutely satisfied with your visit. North Star Metal Salvage began operations at its Powell street location in 1950. Originally, the company started out by buying old marine scrap. Over the years, North Star Metal Salvage grew and evolved into a full service, non-ferrous metal recycling facility. In January of 2001, the company was renamed North Star Metal Recycling to bring attention to the benefits of the metal recycling process. Since this time, North Star has been steadily growing due in part to our loyal customer base. North Star is owned by Phil Watson, Harold Folk and Adam Folk There are approximately 10 employees at North Star Recycling and that number continues to rise each year.
