History ICMQ was one of the first Italian certification bodies to operate in the construction and building sector. Founded in 1988 and active since 1990, as an independent and non-profit certification institute, it first operated directly and then, in 2001, set up the operating company ICMQ Spa. Mission ICMQ has been engaged for several years in offering services in the area of ??sustainability, which represents the most promising direction for the building industry for a new development capable of meeting the great environmental and macro-economic challenges. Services ICMQ is accredited by Accredia and certifies: - quality management systems, - products in compliance with specific reference standards/regulations, - environmental management systems, - energy management systems, - management systems for health and safety in the workplace, - building performance (energy requirement, acoustic comfort, thermal comfort, saving of water resources) according to the “Sistema Edificio®” scheme, - personnel skills. ICMQ carries out, under accreditation, the verification and validation activities of the Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), of the Environmental Assertions and of the communications of greenhouse gas emissions in reference to the "Emission Trading" directive. It is a notified body pursuant to the Construction Products Regulation 11/305/EU (CE marking). It is an inspection body for the verification and validation of projects, technical control during construction and third party verifications. ICMQ has developed the MAKE IT SUSTAINABLE certification scheme, which enhances the investments made by an organization in line with sustainability strategies and communicates its commitment to applying the principles of sustainability to specific products, services and construction sites. Finally, ICMQ organizes training courses aimed at the construction sector.
