Coto Consulting, Inc. (CCI) is a woman-owned small business that provides environmental consulting services to private industry and government clients with a particular emphasis on greenhouse gas (GHG) and sustainability. CCI won business achievement awards from the Climate Change Business Journal in 2009 and Environmental Business Journal for its accomplishments in 2009 and 2010. The founder of CCI, Christina Schwerdtfeger, has over 24 years experience as an environmental consultant and holds a PhD in chemistry, In addition, she is an accredited GHG lead verifier with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and a Registered Environmental Assessor (REA) with the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). CCI's clients include Fortune 500 companies such as Lockheed Martin and Johnson & Johnson and government clients such as US Marine Corps and Department of the Interior. CCI also provides staff augmentation services to other environmental consulting companies. Dr. Schwerdtfeger is an instructor at UCI Extension, Claremont Graduate University, and Los Angeles/Orange County Environmental Training Center. She has been an invited speaker at: Federal Environmental Symposium, AIr & Waste Management Association, the Auditing Roundtable and Energy, Utility & Environment Conference (2011).
