Winnipeg Angel Organization

WAO gives entreprenuers an opportunity through a network system to present their ideas to a group of investors who are Angel Members of WAO. It provides an investment matching service only and provides no investment advice or recomendations. WAO Angel Members are "accredited investors" as defined by Rule MI 45-103 of the Manitoba Securities Commission. Details on this Rule are noted elsewhere on this website. Following completion of a formal application, an applicant will prepare an IDEA SHEET describing their opportunity using a maximum of three letter sized pages. WAO will not restrict content or presentation style but will reject IDEA SHEETS longer than three pages. An IDEA SHEET can contain Word documents, JPEG or other images, etc. An IDEA SHEET is meant to generate interest from one or more Angel Members and should therefore present as clearly as possible the Value Proposition for your opportunity. Applicants are encouraged to review Part 4. Business Opportunity Validation in the application for issues that should be considered before submitting an application. Not all points need to be addressed in your IDEA SHEET but you must be prepared to discuss these and other issues with any interested Angel Member. Applicants should consider the confidentiality of their ideas. While your IDEA SHEET will be circulated as confidentially as possible, WAO cannot execute non-disclosure or confidentiality agreements or guarantee confidentiality. Applicants should therefore NOT disclose ideas or details that might prejudice the opportunity's success.
