Christian Brothers Investment Services, Inc. (CBIS) is a Registered Investment Advisor and was founded in 1981 by the De La Salle Christian Brothers. CBIS provides socially responsible investment management and advisory services exclusively to Catholic institutions worldwide. Our ownership structure consists of the U.S. Districts of the De La Salle Christian Brothers and the Center of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. Owner representatives sit on the CBIS board of directors along with professionals from a variety of other industries. Founded more than three centuries ago, the Lasallian mission embodies the vision and innovative spirit of Saint John Baptist de la Salle, the patron saint of teachers. The spirit in which the Brothers undertake all aspects of the mission is a spirit of faith and zeal. CBIS offers its institutional investors, called œparticipants, a suite of pooled funds and separate accounts. Our global participant base includes religious institutes, dioceses, educational and healthcare institutions. CBIS is a manager of managers; that is, we engage third parties to actively manage the assets in a particular fund. We offer two product lines: CUIT Funds, for U.S.-based Catholic institutions, and CBIS Global Funds, plc, for Catholic institutions based in Europe.
