Niagara Angel Network

The Niagara Angel Network (NAN) is a member-based, not-for-profit corporation for accredited investors who mainly live or work in Niagara, and other southern Ontario communities. NAN provides its members with opportunities to increase their exposure to high quality, investment ready companies seeking capital. Pre-screened companies present their business propositions to members and qualified guests. Regular attendance is strongly encouraged so that the investor gains immediate access to the best investment opportunities. All members must meet the Ontario Securities Commission definition of accredited investor. Angel investors are perceived of as filling the gap between the financing provided by family and friends and venture capitalists. Individual Angel investors typically invest $25,000  $150,000 per year, but its becoming increasingly common for Angels to operate as part of an organized Angel Network (a group of Angel investors), like GTAN, which raises their potential investment level accordingly and allows them to share research and pool their investment capital. In short, our Angels are successful entrepreneurs who have typically either built their business, professional careers, or homes in the Golden Triangle region and are seeking opportunities to invest in companies in which they can take an active interest in.
