Ecopetrol

Ecopetrol (NYSE: EC) is the largest company in Colombia and one of the main energy groups in Latin America. It has more than 18,000 employees and is responsible for 60% of hydrocarbon production in Colombia. It owns the two refineries in Colombia and a large part of the infrastructure of the transportation segment. In turn, it participates in the sale of energy and gas distribution. On the international scene, Ecopetrol's strategic focus is concentrated on the basins of the American continent. It has operations and participates in exploration and production projects in the United States (Permian Basin and Gulf of Mexico), Brazil and Mexico.
