Chris and Pattie Nachtrieb began Chris' Coffee Service in 1975. Chris was delivering coffee "kits" from his red El Camino while Pattie was handling calls and paperwork throughout the day. As they continued to grow locally, they employed several off-duty Colonie Police Officers to make their coffee deliveries. Fast-forward 38 years and 35 employees later, Chris' Coffee Service, Inc. is now a nationally recognized leader of exclusively designed espresso machines, a respected local roaster of premium gourmet coffees, including their own Machristay gourmet coffee, and one of the few surviving family-owned local coffee services operating in the Capital District today. We not only import commercial espresso machines and grinders from Italy, but we pride ourselves on the fact that we provide FREE Barista training for our customers. Here are some of things we cover in our FREE training class: Grinder adjustment, proper technique for pulling consistently great espresso shots, micro foaming milk properly, pouring latte art, preventative maintenance on your espresso machine, how to choose the right water filtration and softening system and how to maintain it to lengthen the life of your espresso machine. We work directly with Italian espresso machine manufacturers on the features and design of the machines we directly import.
