In our quest to protect and promote the ancient grain of the Andes, our approach is innovative and imaginative. The Andean Naturals leadership team is tightly knit and loosely structured, a blend of expertise that is diverse and synergistic. We work and play well together and with others. Our companys roots run generations-deep in Bolivia and North America alike, and we have extensive international experience in business, technology and communication. We are united by an instinct for fairness and relentless in our pursuit of excellence. Andean Naturals entered the quinoa business in 2004, excited by its potential and eager to work with traditional producers. We shipped our first load of quinoa in 2005 and today we import 1.5 million pounds per month to the United States via major ports on both coasts. We support our American customers from offices in Foster City, California and Sheboygan, Wisconsin. We are a certified Best-for-the-World B Corp and a member of the Fair Trade Federation. We pay farmers at or above fair trade levels and we provide every employee with medical insurance, free meals and free quinoa every day. We think of these as our companys most rewarding investments.
