Save the Rainwater truly believes that good water can make great water, and that all should benefit from our greatest natural resource. Throughout the world and even at home, many people are faced with challenges from the lack of good clean water. Our goal is to bring global water awareness to everyone through education and outreach based upon the knowledge of Rainwater Harvesting, Graywater Recycling incorporating Uv Disinfection. We are based out of Eugene Oregon, surrounded by the fresh flowing waters of the Mckenzie and Willamette Rivers, wooded country, lush gardens and lots of rain. in 2003, local entrepreneur and owner of a home repair business noticed that water quality issues are on the rise and so the need for Rainwater and Graywater Harvesting. At that point, the promise was made to become a sound environmental steward with emphasis on water quality and the practices of Rainwater Harvesting. Graywater recycling and Rainwater harvesting has been practiced for centuries, we just forgot about it when they started piping water to homes for a cost. Fixing a old wheel takes time and the pressure of municipal water is very strong and changing the minds of thousands of people is a very large project. Many people are happy with the convenience and cost of municipally sourced water and it seemed almost impossible to gain ground. Oil costs on a global scale started to rise and shortly after that, the cost of water. Dreams quickly became passion, and the desire to create new ways of thinking on water conservation quickly drowned the negativity, and watered the seed to start the company we know now as Save the Rainwater.
