CHIANTI CASHMERE GOAT FARM, is an exception to the rule, and a model for small-scale agricultural enterprise. From its origin, our goat herd has become a reality now recognized internationally: not only as the first privately owned Cashmere goat herd in Europe, but as an ELITE HERD and source for reproductive animals and genetics within and outside the European Common market. Years of daily contact and interaction with the goats in our herd have allowed us to develop expertise in the entire cycle of the breeding, harvesting and transformation of our raw cashmere into finished SUSTAINABLE CASHMERE® yarn, as well as knitted and woven cashmere accessories : from the GOAT TO THE GARMENT! We offer a limited selection of our total production for sale online, and try to keep our shop updated according to seasons’ availability; those of you lucky enough to visit our farm in Tuscany will find much more, end-of-season sales, limited editions, and such, and you will also have the chance to see and touch those very same goats that you have read about! We are honored to be the first livestock enterprise in Europe to be awarded as a CERTIFIED WILDLIFE FRIENDLY™ farm for our commitment to using non lethal predator control to protect our herd from local wolf packs.
