The iconic Dancing Bear Inn has been a staple in the Nelson community since the early 1990's. We have been told that our cozy, clean and friendly "home" is one of the best hostels to experience on your journey. Enjoy your stay on the Kootenay Riviera! Nelson is unlike anywhere else in the best possible way. They measured their baseline inventory for the period from August, 2010 to July, 2011. They are working to reduce these emissions by exploring more energy efficient lighting, motion sensors, and energy star appliances, by turning down the thermostat in the winter, and by initiating paperless invoicing and double-sided printing. They have also recently installed a new hot water heating system that will reduce their energy consumption.
