Canadian Springs (AquaTerra)

Canadian Springs (AquaTerra) is Canada’s largest national direct delivery company providing drinking water, coffee and tea, other refreshments and break room supplies to both homes and offices across the country. They measured their baseline greenhouse gas emissions inventory of their Richmond, BC operations that serves the lower mainland for their 2012 fiscal year. Canadian Springs is working to reduce the emissions from its Richmond operations by performing an extensive lighting retrofit and taking advantage of Fortis BC’s commercial energy assessment to reduce natural gas use. This year the company is formalizing their sustainability program, including environmental and social elements. Canadian Springs aims to provide factual information on their overall footprint while also helping customers understand key differences between refillable and single use bottled water, filtered water and the many coffee/tea options available to customers.
