Royal Papers was founded in 1948 as a distributor of disposable paper products servicing the metro St. Louis foodservice and janitorial markets. When Paul Passanise purchased the company in 1988, Royal had 25 employees and 3 delivery trucks. Today, through the insight and leadership of Passanise, Royal has over 140 employees, 20 delivery trucks, and generates over $40 million in annual revenue. The inception of RoyaLab in 1992 propelled Royal into a major player in the janitorial industry, expanding the Company into chemical and equipment sales, repair and rental. RoyaLab is a commercial interactive showroom displaying the latest technology in cleaning systems and restroom supplies. There are currently three RoyaLab Janitorial Showrooms located in Maryland Heights, Columbia, and Kansas City. In 2003 and 2006, the purchase of Springfield Janitor and D&G Supply expanded our footprint into Southwest Missouri and Arkansas. Royal expanding in the Kansas City market by opening a new distribution center and state-of-the-art showroom in Lenexa, KS. In 2008, Passanise, a native of St. Louis City, moved Royal’s Headquarters and Distribution Center to a new and improved location on The Hill at 2701 Hereford Street.
